Glenn McFarland

Sheet Metal Superintendent

Value Delivered

Glenn oversees delivery of professionally planned and executed sheet metal projects that satisfy the demanding requirements of commercial, educational, financial, entertainment and other clients. An experienced sheet metal planning, fabrication and installation process manager, he assesses mechanical drawings and performs site reviews to ensure the specified dimensions are accurate. He then generates cost estimates, coordinates with the fabrication shop foreman to prioritize and schedule component production, enables on-time delivery to the job site, and manages and approves the installation process. Should problems arise, he works with the client, architect and others to resolve them. The result is consistently high-quality sheet metal installations that contribute to efficient and reliable mechanical system operation.

Expertise

Starting with Nogle & Black in 1979, Glenn has been with the company throughout his 27-year career. Before becoming a superintendent, he held positions as apprentice, journeyman, foreman and general foreman. His years of experience have helped him develop strong people and communications skills, as well as a detailed understanding of how projects should be planned and delivered. This includes the ability to implement efficient task sequences, and the expertise to identify and resolve potential problems before they become expenses.

Glenn has attended the Sheet Metal Apprentice School of the Sheet Metal Workers International Association Local #218C, as well as the ITT Technical Institute. He has also been approved by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to erect scaffolding.

The Personal Side

Glenn and his wife have two girls. In addition to family activities, he enjoys playing his guitar with local musicians.
