Russell Bodine

Estimator/Project Manager

Value Delivered

As head of the company's Piping and Plumbing Division, Russ ensures delivery of projects that provide the energy efficiency, comfort and productivity clients need to meet today's tough facilities management challenges. His responsibilities include generating new business opportunities for the division and managing the maintenance of ongoing customer relationships. He also assigns estimator/project managers, oversees development of estimates and proposals for design/bid/build and design build projects, and manages expert, thorough completion of all project management tasks, including scheduling and planning manpower needs, implementing budgets and cost controls, purchasing materials and maintaining site safety. In addition, he handles the Piping and Plumbing division's hiring, and reviews and approves time sheets and job cost reports. Throughout the process, his goal is always to meet customers highest expectations on commercial plumbing and piping repair, installation, and maintenance services for maximum performance and continuous return on investment.

Mechanical & Plumbing Services Expertise

Russ has more than 25 years of experience in the mechanical services industry. After starting as a foreman, he ran his own company before becoming a senior vice president and estimator/project manager for a local contracting firm. He joined Nogle & Black Mechanical in January 2009. During the course of his career, he has developed expertise not only in the hands-on details of mechanical systems installation, but also in such areas as project scheduling, materials purchasing, union relations and multi-craft manpower coordination.

From 1983 to 1987, Russ served his apprenticeship with Plumbers & Steamfitters Local #65 in Decatur, Illinois, making him his family's third generation to participate in the industry through that local. He holds a plumber's license from the State of Illinois' Department of Public Health and has been certified by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency's Division of Public Water Supplies as a cross-connection, back-flow preventer device inspector. In addition to general studies work at Richland Community College in Decatur, Illinois, he has augmented his background by completing the OSHA 10-hour construction training course and 40 hours of OSHA training in hazardous waste operations and emergency response.

The Personal Side

Russ enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, a son and a daughter. He also coaches junior football and helps with other school activities.
